The 2011 Boston Lung Cancer Walk is dedicated to one of the walk's two founders, Geri Norris. A ten-year small-cell lung cancer survivor, Geri was instrumental in establishing the Boston Lung Cancer Walk in 2006. Geri has been a dedicated member of the planning committee for our walk since its inception. Geri has met her personal health challenges with consistent optimism and determination to beat the odds, while maintaining her sense of humor. Because of her success, she has been, and continues to be a source of inspiration for others. At the same time, she has not stopped fighting for lung cancer awareness and research funding. We are honored to dedicate the 2011 Breathe Deep Boston 5K Walk to Geri Norris.
