IN MEMORY OF RICH KAUFMAN

Richard (Rich) Kaufman passed away in November 2009 after surviving seven and a half years with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. Upon his diagnosis in 2002 Rich joined the Lung Cancer Support Community (LCSC) message board at www.lungevity.org/LCSC. Through this community he met others who had been touched by lung cancer and who helped him to organize the Boston Area Lung Cancer Walk. He was a source of great inspiration to other survivors and caregivers. His positive attitude was unwavering throughout his illness and reassured many that it is possible to live with lung cancer.

The board of the Boston Area Lung Cancer Walk is honored to dedicate the 2010 walk in Rich's memory.
