1) How long is the walk?

The two walk options are 1 mile or 5K (approximately 3 miles).

 

2) May I bring my dog?

Castle Island is a public park where dogs are allowed. However, we ask that you consider both the comfort and safety of your pet and the expected 2000 or more participants before choosing to bring your dog.

 

3) Where does my money go and how is it used?

Your registration fee covers the costs related to the event, such as T-shirts, marketing materials, tents and websites. Thus, registration fees are not tax-deductible. All of the monies from donations, sponsorships and your efforts at fundraising go to lung cancer research. LUNGevity, the largest private funder of lung cancer research, will grant up to $2 million in 2011 to research focused on early detection and targeted therapies.

Our walk is held rain or shine.
